Yeji takes off on her solo journey!
On March 10 at 6:00 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), ITZY’s Yeji officially made her solo debut with the EP ‘AIR,’ marking her as the first ITZY member to go solo. She described the album as a reflection of her unique charm and aimed to showcase a different side of herself beyond ITZY, highlighting her presence and individuality.
‘AIR’ features four tracks, with the title track ‘Air’ delivering a dynamic synth-pop sound driven by powerful bass and addictive hooks. The music video enhances its impact with cinematic visuals, showcasing Yeji’s confidence, striking moves, and fierce presence. Yeji also contributed to the songwriting, collaborating with JYP and well-known songwriters and producers.
The album’s B-side tracks, ‘Invasion’, ‘Can’t Slow Me, No’, and ‘258’, each explore a different genre, seamlessly blending elements from vocals to rap, highlighting Yeji’s versatility.
Earlier, during the media showcase, Yeji expressed her excitement about her first official solo release. She shared that her fellow members provided strength and support throughout the process of creating the EP. She promised to deliver versatile performances and approach her solo promotions with utmost enjoyment.
