HYBE is set to debut a new J-pop boy group.
On April 23, HYBE announced that it would be debuting a new Japanese group, aoen. The seven-member group was formed through Nihon TV’s audition program ‘Oen-High: The Starting Line of Dreams’, which aired from February to April this year.

The final lineup consists of Yuju, Ruka, Haku, Sota, Kyosuke, Gaku, and Reo—all Japanese members—marking HYBE’s continued expansion into the Japanese pop market.
The group’s name, aoen, borrows from ‘Oen’, the Japanese word for ‘support’, with a reference to ‘aori’, meaning blue in Japanese, which symbolizes the blue light of the hottest burning flame—reflecting the ambition to act as a group filled with intense passion and energy.
They also announced the group’s fan club name, ‘aoring’, representing the bond between fans and the group, coming together as one to embark on a shared musical journey.
Managed by YX Labels, an HYBE Japan music label that also manages HYBE’s other Japanese boy group ‘&TEAM’, ‘aoen’ joins the growing roster of J-pop acts under HYBE. The company expressed hope that ‘aoen’ will receive strong support from fans as the group embarks on its journey to become a prominent name in the J-pop scene.
