Global Korean pop star HEYOON is back with new music!
On July 31 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), HEYOON made a comeback with her third single, ‘Addicted’, a dreamy, UK garage-influenced deep house track with a fast tempo and rhythmic sound that marks a powerful evolution in her artistic journey, pulling listeners into a fantastical world rooted in R.E.M. sleep.
Moving swiftly from one scenario to the next, the music video begins with HEYOON dancing in her room with headphones on, then shifts to scenes of her heading to a party, confronting an intruder, her room turning into a crime scene, and more. The MV tells the story of a mysterious dream entity that lures people through hypnotic movements, causing them to fall into a cycle of sleepless obsession, chasing the figure across dreams in an endless trance. Through this surreal cycle, ‘Addicted’ explores themes of seduction, addiction, ecstasy, and downfall.
Notably, HEYOON actively participated in the creation of ‘Addicted’, from writing and composing the track to leading the production process. The single also boasts contributions from world-renowned engineer Andrew Wuepper, who handled the mixing, and Dale Becker, who mastered the track, showcasing HEYOON’s commitment to delivering high-quality and innovative music.
‘Addicted’ marks HEYOON’s third single under Universal Music Korea, following her solo debut ‘Pivot’ featuring Armani White in November 2024, and her second single ‘ASAP’ featuring Chris Patrick earlier this year.
With ‘Addicted’, HEYOON enters a new era defined by artistic evolution, creative control, bold storytelling, and immersive sonic landscapes.
‘Addicted’ is now streaming on all platforms.
