Han Suk Kyu is all set to return to television with a role that blends intrigue, humour, and a dash of danger in tvN’s upcoming drama ‘Shin’s Project’. In this project, Han Suk Kyu is seen trading his ‘Dr. Romantic’ lab coat for an apron — while keeping his signature charisma intact. In the drama, Han Suk Kyu takes on the role of Boss Shin, a local and humble chicken shop owner with a hidden, extraordinary past. Once a legendary negotiator who could settle the most high-stakes disputes, he now delivers justice with plates of crispy drumsticks.
On August 11, tvN released a teaser that perfectly captures the series’ mix of suspense, wit, and charm. It opens with Han Suk Kyu’s deep, steady voice answering a mysterious call: “Where are you? I’ll arrange it at the time you requested.” He then pulls out a fountain pen and begins to write with precision, hinting that something urgent might be about to unfold. Without missing a beat, a shocking and humorous twist occurs — he says, “It’s 19,000 won,” just as a kitchen timer beeps, revealing that he has been taking a chicken delivery order the entire time.

But just as quickly, intrigue slips back in. A close-up of his business card follows, stamped with an enticing offer: “Leave all your headaches to Mr. Shin.” However, one word makes you pause — “threat” — ominously positioned beside “negotiation,” hinting that his skills extend far beyond the kitchen.
