On September 26 at midnight KST, EXO’s CHANYEOL excited fans with the release of the music video for ‘ずるいよ (Zuruiyo/It’s Unfair)’, a pre-release track from his first Japanese mini-album ‘Hibi (日々),’ along with the streaming of all tracks from the mini-album.
The mini-album, which showcases CHANYEOL’s musical versatility, features five tracks: ‘Zuruiyo,’ ‘Cherry,’ ‘考えてみたら/Kangaetemitara (Think about it),’ ‘Tokyo Tower,’ ‘UP TO YOU,’ and ‘Trace.’
This marks a significant milestone in CHANYEOL’s solo career as he steps into the Japanese music scene. Fans are already praising the emotional depth and cinematic style of the ‘Zuruiyo’ music video, which complements the song’s reflective and soulful tone.
In a press release, his agency SM Entertainment shared that ‘Hibi’ is inspired by the theme of cherishing everyday moments in life. “CHANYEOL contributed to the album by writing the lyrics and composing the music for tracks ‘Kangaetemitara’ and ‘Tokyo Tower,’ adding his personal touch to the project.”
CHANYEOL is also gearing up for his ‘The Days’ solo tour in Japan, where he’ll perform the new songs live for his Japanese fans.
CHANYEOL, who debuted solo with the EP ‘Black Out’ in 2024, released his second Korean solo album ‘Upside Down’ this August.
With ‘Hibi,’ CHANYEOL continues to carve out his own path, blending catchy melodies with thoughtful lyrics. The mini-album promises to further solidify his place as a solo artist while still staying true to the energy that made him an EXO standout.
‘Hibi’ is set for official release on October 22.
