EXO’s Chanyeol celebrates International Puppy Day in a meaningful way.
On March 24, SM SMile announced that EXO member Chanyeol had made a heartfelt donation of 30 million won to the Korean Animal Welfare Association, celebrating International Puppy Day. The contribution will fund specialized dietary needs for rescued animals in critical condition.

Chanyeol made the donation on March 21 using proceeds from merchandise featuring his dogs, ZZAR and TOBEN. This initiative was carried out in the name of EXO-L, EXO’s official fan club, further amplifying its significance. The Korean Animal Welfare Association, dedicated to rescuing and safeguarding vulnerable animals, cares for over 400 animals rescued from abuse and neglect. Chanyeol’s support will provide these animals with essential prescription food, aiding their recovery and helping them lead stable lives.
The Korean Animal Welfare Association expressed gratitude, stating, “We sincerely thank CHANYEOL, EXO-L, and everyone stepping forward to help rescued animals recover and begin new lives. We hope to see continued philanthropic efforts inspired by influential public figures.”
Chanyeol’s commitment to goodwill extends beyond this recent contribution. Since his debut in 2012, he has consistently engaged in volunteer work and charitable activities. Notably, in 2024, he collaborated with SM Entertainment’s SMile Community Volunteer Group to assist abandoned dogs and cats, demonstrating his deep commitment to animal welfare.
