DAY6 is back as a full group, with their Seventh Mini Album, ‘The Book of Us : Negentropy – Chaos swallowed up in love’ and has released an MV for their title track, ‘You Make Me’ which is composed by Young K, Wonpil, and Hong Ji Sang. The lyrics has been written by Young K. The MV and lyrics is filled with hope and love in the midst of darkness. The MV reached more than 7,00,000 views in 7 hours!
The Book of Us: Negentropy’, is the final instalment of their ‘The Book of Us’ series, which began in July 2019 with ‘The Book of Us: Gravity’. But will DAY6 be promoting the album? Apparently not as their leader, Sungjin is in the military. Unfortunately for My Days, JYP Entertainment made a statement earlier today, that the group will not be promoting the album as their leader Sungjin is not present. DAY6’s previous comeback as a full group was ‘The Book of Us : The Demon’ in May 2020, but they did not promote the album, as they had temporarily halted all group activities so that Jae and Sungjin could take time off to focus on their mental health.
Later that year, the other three members, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon had released “The Book of Us : Gluon – Nothing can tear us apart” as the new subunit DAY6 (Even of Day). This thus means that the group have not performed any new DAY6 songs live since ‘Sweet Chaos’, which was the lead single to The Book of Us: Entropy. Seeing how the members had previously created a sub unit, we may see a subunit of the 4 members and hopefully a live performance.
Sungjin had made a surprise announcement of his enlistment last month and will complete his military duties on September 7 2022, which will coincidentally be DAY6’s 7th anniversary. Are you loving this new comeback? What are your thoughts about it? Do let us know~~
