The BTS ARMY are in for yet another treat with BTS announcing not one,
but two international projects!
The ‘ARMYPEDIA’ Project
Discovered by fans on 21st February and officially announced today (22nd February), the ARMYPEDIA is sending ARMYs on a worldwide scavenger hunt. It describes itself as – “the digital archive of all things BTS, made by ARMY!” and “an archive of records created by the collaborative effort of ARMY all over the world.”
The ARMYPEDIA logs a total of 2,080 days or date cards, from BTS’ debut date 13th June 2013. It intends to act as – “a special chronicle of the memories of ARMY’s journey together with BTS over each and every one of those unforgettable days.”
However, each of the 2,080 date cards in the ARMYPEDIA are locked and require a QR code to be unlocked. The puzzle pieces with QR codes are scattered around the world and are both online and offline. Once fans have found a puzzle piece, scanned its QR code and successfully answered a quiz question about BTS, ARMYs around the world will be able to acess the unlocked date card and post a memory about BTS related to that specific date.
Of course, the project allows interaction between the ARMYs themselves and they will be able to give a ‘purple heart‘ to another ARMY’s post or ‘memory‘. The entry with the most purple hearts will become the ‘Top Memory’ for that specific date card.
Since the project was announced on social media, advertisements for ARMYPEDIA have been spotted on billboards in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and Hong Kong. Each of them appear to be a puzzle piece as they bear a QR code and a date.
Once the campaign kicks off on 25th February, ARMY will have four weeks (till 24th March) to find and answer all 2,080 QR codes to open each date card.

The #ARMYLoveMyself Campaign
BTS‘ ‘Love Myself‘ campaign in partnership with UNICEF to end violence has been huge from the get go and it’s official hashtag for the campaign is #BTSLoveMyself.
To really drive home the message, BTS have added another official hashtag to the project – #ARMYLoveMyself.
To participate in the project, one must simply post a photo or video on social media (Instagram or Twitter) that shows you love yourself or how you are learning to love yourself. The posts should have both hashtags – #ARMYLoveMyself and #BTSLoveMyself. The participating posts may even be used as a part of the official ‘Love Myself‘ Campaign.
Stay tuned for more on BTS!
