BTS Member, J-Hope made a donation of 100 Million Won (Approx ₹ 65.82 lakh ) to the Children Victims of Violence in Tanzania through ‘Child Fund Korea’ on the occasion of Children’s Day. South Korea celebrates Children’s day on 5th May.
J-Hope stated, “Many people around the world are suffering from COVID-19. We are donating with the hope of warm sharing being spread to overseas children in blind spots.”
The singer had previously donated 150 Million Won (Approx ₹98. 68 lakh) to the same organization earlier this year, on his birthday, to help children with disabilities and those from low income families.
A member of ‘Green Noble Club’, a group of high-value donors of ‘Child Fund Korea’ shared that J-hope has donated around 700 million ₩ since 2018.
BTS as well as all the members, continuously contribute to a number of organizations based in South Korea as well as international and are widely known for their philanthropic work. Their fandom also follows their footsteps and have been in the news for the same. In India as well, the BTS Army recently made waves for raising over
₹20 lakhs in one day for the on-going Covid-19 crisis in India.
