Can you believe it’s already going to be five years since BLACKPINK debuted? To mark their fifth anniversary, the girl group has announced a movie release!
Earlier today (June 16, 2021), YG Entertainment, home to BLACKPINK, officially announced that ‘BLACKPINK The Movie’ will be released in August this year (the month of their debut). The movie will be released in theatres in around 100 countries worldwide.
The movie will include sequences like,
– ‘The Room of Memory,’ in which fans can witness the group’s memories that they shared among them through these years,
– ‘Beauty,’ containing strong images of the four members showcasing their distinct and unique personalities, and an
– ‘Unreleased Special Interview’ for fans.
Adding to these segments, the movie will also feature five songs from their concerts “The Show (2021)” and “In Your Area (2018),” giving their fans a realistic and rich experience of attending a real concert.
CGV (largest multiplex cinema chain in South Korea) has planned to stream the movie in various formats such as ScreenX, that has a tri-screen theater, 4DX that allows viewers to experience the echo and catharsis of concert sites, and 4DX Screen that takes advantage of both formats.
‘BLACKPINK The Movie’ is reported to be part of BLACKPINK’s fifth anniversary project titled “4+1 PROJECT, ” which was announced a few days back. It is considered to be a present to all those BLINKs who have supported the group throughout the years.
Last year, BLACKPINK released their Netflix Documentary, ‘Light Up The Sky (2020)’, which showed the members’ journey to fame as both bandmates and individuals.
The list of countries and the date has not been mentioned yet but fans are hoping that their country is also listed and in India as well, fans are hoping for the same.
