KPOP phenomenons BTS and BLACKPINK have landed their spots on Youtube Rewind 2018!
KPOP artists getting nominated or featured in International shows and other platforms is nothing new and just recently, Youtube has released the list of artists ranging from global superstars to emerging favorites all over the world that defined Youtube in 2018 with their music, videos, content and trends, and BTS and BLACKPINK are the only two KPOP artists to be featured in the list among the likes of international superstars like Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Shakira to name a few.
Global pheomenon BTS ranked #7 in Most Viewed Globally with 4.9 Billion views in 2018! Their Youtube channel also has 13 Million subscribers and with their popularity skyrocketing all over the world, the numbers are bound to increase with time. Their latest track ‘IDOL‘ has over 450million views while ‘Fake Love‘ remains their music video with the highest number of views with over 550million views till date followed by ‘DNA‘ and ‘Mic Drop‘.
Another KPOP act featured on the list is none other than super girlgroup BLACKPINK! They are ranked at #44 in most viewed globally with 2.5 Billion views alone in 2018 and more than 15 million subscribers for their Youtube channel!
The girlgroup made their much awaited comeback this year with their first mini album “Square Up” and the music video for title track ‘DDU DU DDU DU’ has over 500 million views followed by ‘As If Its your Last’ with over 450million views till date!
