Billboard has released their ‘End of the Year‘ charts and K-Pop artists are making their mark!
BTS have become the first Korean artist to rank on the ‘Top 200 Albums‘ at #85 with their album ‘Love Yourself: Answer‘ and at #101 with the album ‘Love Yourself: Tear‘. They also ranked #08 on the ‘Top Artists‘ chart.
The group also ranked on the ‘Top Artists Duo/Groups‘ chart at #02, the ‘Top Billboard 200 Artists‘ chart at #21 and the Independant Artists‘ #01.
BTS also made the ‘Independant Albums‘ chart with three entries – #03 ‘Love Yourself: Tear‘, #04 ‘Love Yourself: Answer‘ and #09 ‘Love Yourself: Her‘.
The ‘Social 50 Artists‘ is dominated by K-Pop artist with four power groups in the top 10 ranks – #01 BTS, #02 EXO, #06 GOT7, #09 NCT, #11 Monsta X, #12 Seventeen, #14 Wanna One, #23 NCT 127, #28 BLACKPINK, #33 TWICE, #41 Stray Kids, #43 NCT Dream and #46 SHINee.
Steve Aoki‘s ‘Waste It On Me‘ which features BTS ranked #68 on ‘Hot Dance/Electronic Songs‘ and #38 ‘Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales‘.
The ‘World Albums‘ chart was almost entirely K-Pop with the top three spots dominated by BTS with ‘Love Yourself: Tear‘ at #01, ‘Love Yourself: Answer‘ at #02, ‘Love Yourself: Her‘ at #03. Lay‘s (EXO) solo ‘NAMANANA: 03‘ ranked in at #04. J-Hope‘s (BTS) first mixtape ‘Hope World‘ ranked in at at #05, EXO‘s ‘EXO 5: Don’t Mess Up My Tempo’ at #08 and RM‘s (BTS) ‘mono.’ at #09. BLACKPINK‘s ‘SQUARE UP‘ secured it’s position at #12 while BTS‘ Japanese release ‘Face Yourself‘ ranked in at #13. NCT 127‘s ‘Regular-Irregular‘ made it on the chart at #14.
‘World Album Artists‘ reflected the World Albums chart and saw K-Pop artists riding the Hallyu wave – #01 BTS, #02 LAY (EXO), #05 EXO, #06 J-Hope (BTS), #07 RM (BTS), #09 BLACKPINK and #10 NCT 127.
