Actor Ahn Bo Hyun marked this Christmas season with a meaningful act of generosity!
On December 24, the Community Chest of Korea revealed that Ahn Bo Hyun had donated 100 million won (approximately $68,300), becoming the 3,800th member of its Honor Society, a group that recognizes major individual contributors.
This contribution will be allocated to programs aimed at preventing blindness among children and adolescents from low-income families. The donation will cover surgical treatments for pediatric eye conditions, such as cataracts, retina, disorders, and strabismus, as well as provide rehabilitation services for children with low vision.
Ahn Bo Hyun shared, “I’ve long wanted to share the love I’ve received from so many people, and I hoped to be even a small help to those in need. I will continue striving to spread warmth in our society through giving.”
The actor has constantly shown support for underprivileged communities. In 2020, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, he donated 3,000 bottles of hand sanitizers to social welfare facilities, followed by a donation of sanitary pads worth 50 million won in 2022.
Additionally, Ahn Bo Hyun won the Best New Actor at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards for ‘Pretty Crazy’ and is currently preparing for the premiere of tvN’s new drama ‘Spring Fever’ on January 5.
