AtHeart made their official debut with the first EP, ‘Plot Twist,’ in August last year under TITAN CONTENT. The seven-member group – MICHI, ARIN, KATELYN, BOME, SEOHYEON, AURORA and NAHYUN – has now embarked on a new series, TIME TRAVEL PROJECT, through which they reimagine beloved songs from the past for a new generation.
As part of the series, the group released ‘Say It,’ a reinterpretation of The Cardigans’ 1996 hit ‘Lovefool,’ and continued with ‘3!4!’, their take on Roo’Ra’s iconic 1996 Korean pop classic. Released in August 2026, ‘3!4!’ blends the nostalgia of the original with AtHeart’s contemporary sound, while also forming part of a larger creative project that extends beyond music. The accompanying story-driven project explores the 1990s through a time-travel narrative, with all seven members stepping into acting roles.
In an exclusive interview with Namaste Hallyu, AtHeart talks about their latest comeback, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, the strong bond they share as members, and their heartfelt message for Indian fans.
Namaste Hallyu: Congratulations on making your comeback with your single, ‘3!4!’! What did you especially want to show through this comeback? What do you think was the most challenging part of preparing for this comeback?
MICHI: This comeback was an opportunity for AtHeart to reintroduce people to another era of music. Our goal with ‘3!4!’ was to use music as a way to connect different generations. The most difficult part was adding AtHeart’s own colors to an existing song while also honoring the original. Since this is our first time doing a remake, it was especially important for us to approach it with care and make sure we did it justice! We worked hard to capture the right mood from the time period, which can be noticed in our music video and dancing as well.
NH: Fans often only get to see what happens on stage, but there are always unforgettable moments happening behind the scenes! What is one funny or memorable behind-the-scenes moment that perfectly represents AtHeart’s ‘3!4!’ era?
KATELYN: Whenever we have some free time and end up falling asleep, we sometimes take pictures of each other while we’re sleeping and show them to each other afterward!
NH: Every comeback brings a new side of an artist to the spotlight. Is there a musical style, concept, or genre you haven’t explored yet but would love to try in the future?
SEOHYEON: I like New Jack Swing and house music, and I’d also love to try jazz or even a band concept someday.
NH: If you had to introduce a new fan to your songs, which song would it be?
ARIN: I would recommend ‘Push Back’! I’ll never forget the first time I heard the demo for ‘Push Back.’ I was also really worried about whether the song would turn out well once our voices were added, but I think each member’s individuality really shines through. I feel like it’s a song that represents AtHeart’s identity.
NH: You spend so much time together both on and off camera that you’ve practically become a family! What do you think is the secret behind AtHeart’s strong bond and great chemistry?
BOME: I think it comes from the communication we’ve built up over the years! Even when there wasn’t anything special going on, we made sure to have time to talk at least once a week since our trainee days. As we got to know each other and learned more about one another, I think that naturally led to the amazing chemistry you’ve noticed.
NH: AtHeart has fans from all around the world. Have you ever experienced a cultural difference while interacting with international fans that surprised you, made you laugh, or warmed your heart?
NAHYUN: We usually get to meet our ‘heartbeat’s in Korea, so whenever we go abroad and meet our international fans, it always feels so amazing and special. Last July, we performed together with our fans at iHeartKpop, and they even sang along to our songs! Every time something like that happens, I feel such an incredible rush of happiness and excitement.We’re truly, truly happy to have our ‘heartbeat’s!
NH: We are building a playlist for our readers. What’s a song that always brightens each member’s day?
MICHI: A song that never fails to get me dancing is Dominic Fike’s ‘Mona Lisa.’
ARIN: I think I love all of Baek Yerin’s songs! Her music has such a unique atmosphere that always puts me in a good mood.
KATELYN: A song that never fails to brighten my day is anything by Michael Jackson, or an Afrobeat song.
SEOHYEON: These days, I’ve been listening to KATSEYE’s ‘Touch’! I love its dreamy yet exciting melody and beat.
NAHYUN: These days, I’ve been listening to S.E.S.’ ‘Running’ a lot. The lyrics are so beautiful.
I really like Taeyeon’s songs! She’s my role model, so I listen to her music a lot, and I think I get a lot of inspiration from her throughout the day.

NH: If you could perform one song from your album live in India, which song would it be and why?
MICHI: Ooooh, this would be so exciting! It would be wonderful to perform an upbeat and lively song for our Indian fans, so I would say ‘Push Back’! It’s also one of the songs that we members never get tired of performing!
NH: Is there anything coming up that you can’t talk about just yet, but that you’re especially excited for your fans to see?
BOME: I think it would be our short-form drama! We actually filmed it pretty recently, and acting was very new and challenging for me at first. But I had so much fun filming it with the members, so I’m really excited for everyone to see it. I hope you guys look forward to it!
NH: What’s a message you would like to share with Indian ‘heartbeat’?
ARIN: ‘heartbeat’s~ We’ll work hard and make sure to come see you in India, so please wait just a little longer! And we’ll continue working even harder so that AtHeart can grow and show you lots of great songs and performances. Thank you for always supporting us and staying by our side! We love you!
