On July 14, JYP Entertainment issued an official statement revealing that eighteen of its artists have been selected as Voting Members of the U.S. Recording Academy, making them eligible to vote for Grammy Awards nominees and winners.
Artists including singer-songwriter and producer Park Jin Young (J.Y. Park), all nine members of TWICE (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu), and all eight members of Stray Kids (Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N.) received invitations to join the Recording Academy as Voting Members.
Voting Members in the Recording Academy are granted to music creators, including artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers. With this invitation, all 18 artists are now eligible to vote in the Grammy Awards nomination and final voting processes, allowing them to play a key role in one of the music industry’s most prestigious decision-making bodies.
Additionally, two senior JYP Entertainment executives, Jung Wook (CEO of JYP Entertainment) and Shin Hyun-kook (Chief Strategy Officer and CEO of JYP America), have also been invited to join the Recording Academy as Professional Members.
While Professional Members do not have voting rights for the Grammy Awards, they can participate in the awards submission process and engage with the Recording Academy’s programs and network as music industry executives who support creators.
Founded in 1957, The Recording Academy is a representative organization for musicians around the world. The organization has been hosting the Grammy Awards since 1959 and continues to invite influential professionals from across the music industry every year, in a bid to enhance and expand the expertise and diversity within the global music community.
The nominations for the 69th Grammy Awards will be announced on November 16, while the awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on February 7, 2027.
Congratulations to JYP Entertainment and all the invitees!
