AND2BLE’s existence is the product of industry logistics. Four members of ZEROBASEONE (Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin) continued with their original company, YH ENTERTAINMENT, after ZEROBASEONE halted activities as a 9-member group. Yoo Seungeon from the group EVNNE, which was formed similarly to ZB1, joined the group as well. All five competed on ‘Boys Planet’, where viewers watched them develop chemistry and rapport in what was known as “YUEHUAZ”. The network even leaned into those dynamics throughout the show to the point that the chemistry mirrored in their newest music video. Now the quintet is reuniting as a full unit. On ‘Sequence 01: Curiosity’, you’d expect that documented connection to translate to the music. It doesn’t quite yet.
‘Curious’
The title track leans on electronic production meant to feel commanding. Its structure relies on individual moments placed side by side rather than on the members’ voices blending. Seungeon’s tenor carries the song with clarity and control, while Zhang Hao provides stability in the lower register. The problem emerges in the chorus, where the arrangement begins to unravel instead of pulling everything together. The song doesn’t integrate its members so much as cycle through them. For a group assembled from distinct talents, the opener should demonstrate more of the value of their combination.
‘Aura’
The first moment where the five voices sound like a unit rather than individuals taking turns. Guitars provide a foundation that ties them to a shared sound, while the harmonies stack with clear intention. Ricky and Gyuvin occupy the middle register without competing for space. It’s a smaller track, but a disciplined one. This is what AND2BLE sounds like when the arrangement prioritizes cohesion.
‘Sugar Rush’
The production echoes ZEROBASEONE’s aesthetic aggressively enough to read as nostalgia rather than evolution. Han Yujin’s rap sits awkwardly against the track’s house beat. The bridge delivers the song’s strongest moment, simple enough to linger after the song ends. ‘Sugar Rush’ functions effectively as a B-side, but it raises a larger question about whether AND2BLE’s identity is something new or merely a rearrangement of what came before.
‘Bed’
A ballad stripped to its essentials. The five voices are given space individually rather than collectively, highlighting both the strength of their vocal control and the absence of a truly integrated arrangement. It accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do, even if it leaves little lasting impression beyond that.
‘Happy &’
The album peaks here. The production is a light, buoyant beat that is a familiar sound in K-pop. Here, all five members sound invested rather than obligated. Seungeon once again stands out for his tonal clarity, but the track works because Gyuvin’s presence and Zhang Hao’s stability create genuine balance. This is the only moment on the EP where their individual talents feel as though they’re building toward something unified.
The Verdict
‘Sequence 01: Curiosity’ reveals a central tension at the heart of AND2BLE’s existence. These are five strong singers with distinct voice types, ranges, and strengths. Each possesses an individual appeal to command attention on its own. The production across the EP, however, doesn’t know what to do with that specificity. The arrangements either spotlight one member at a time or dilute the group’s presence altogether.
They have the vocal foundation to sustain a long-term project. What remains is determining whether they want to sound like five distinct people sharing a group or one unified voice that happens to consist of five members. Right now, they’re caught somewhere between the two.
