On May 13, Krystal revealed Episode 2 of her documentary-style series ‘Charging Crystals‘ through the official YouTube channel of her agency BANA, offering fans a closer look at the making of her upcoming solo album while officially announcing her new single ‘PWLT’.
Episode 2 further expands on Krystal’s album-making journey across Jeju’s House of Refuge and Taiwan, featuring recording sessions with Sunset Rollercoaster member Kuo-Hung Tseng, studio sessions with acclaimed singer-songwriter and producer Toro y Moi, as well as choreography practice footage and additional behind-the-scenes moments from the production process.
Alongside her music activities, Krystal has continued to expand her acting career. She recently starred as Jeon Yi-kyung in the tvN drama Mad Concrete Dreams alongside Ha Jung-woo, Lim Soo-jung, and Kim Jun-han. She was also recently announced as part of the cast of the Korea-Japan co-produced film ‘I Hear You’ directed by Takamasa Oe, best known for co-writing Drive My Car, which won Best Screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival.
Physical album pre-orders for ‘PWLT’ will open on May 15 at 2 PM KST (10:30 AM IST) through major online and offline music retailers in Korea and will continue through May 21. Fans who purchase the album during the pre-order period will receive a special poster version different from the official poster distributed after the release date.
‘PWLT‘ is set to be released on May 26 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST).
