Mark your calendar, I.O.I is finally reuniting!
On February 23 KST, SWING Entertainment confirmed the return of Mnet’s ‘Produce 101’ project group I.O.I in celebration of their 10th debut anniversary. The agency stated, “I.O.I has confirmed their comeback this coming May. They are currently preparing a new album.”
The group originally debuted in May 2016 with an impressive 11-member lineup, which included Somi, Kim Sejeong, Choi Yoojung, Chungha, Kim Sohye, Zhou Jieqiong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Doyeon, Kang Mina, Lim Nayoung, and Yeonjung. They officially disbanded in January 2017 after eight months of promotions.
Due to prior commitments and scheduling issues, I.O.I will greet fans with a nine-member lineup, excluding Kang Mina and Zhou Jieqiong. Meanwhile, SWING Entertainment will be fully responsible for managing the group’s reunion project and activities.
I.O.I is also set to hold a concert in Seoul, followed by an Asia tour to meet their global fans in person after the release of their much anticipated comeback album.
Get ready to witness the highly awaited reunion of I.O.I in May.
