BTS’ j-hope continues to make his birthday meaningful through heartfelt giving.
On February 18, ChildFund Korea announced that j-hope (Jung Hoseok) donated 100 million KRW (approx. $70,000 USD) to support students at his alma mater, Gwangju International High School. The funds will provide scholarships to those facing financial hardship at the school as well as Jeonnam Girls’ Commercial High School in his hometown.
In addition, j-hope donated 200 million KRW (approx. $138,000 USD) to the children’s hospital at Seoul Asan Medical Center, supporting pediatric medical facilities, home care services, and psychological therapy programs, bringing his cumulative support there to 500 million KRW since 2022.
“I continue to donate as a way to give back to Army, who always give me so much support,” j-hope shared. “I’m grateful to make another meaningful contribution on my birthday this year, just as I did last year. I sincerely hope children can overcome their pain and dream bright dreams.”
With these contributions, j-hope has now joined the Green Noble Trinity Club, reserved for donors whose cumulative giving exceeds 1 billion KRW.
Wishing j-hope a very happy birthday!
