VERIVERY’s Kangmin is officially gearing up for his solo debut.
On February 16, Korean media reported that Kangmin will release a new album, marking his official debut as a solo artist.
While the agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, has yet to issue a formal statement, Kangmin personally confirmed the news through the fan community platform, Bubble, sharing, “Oh wow lol, an article is out. I didn’t know it would come out like this today, but I guess it’s an unexpected Lunar New Year gift from me to you. Are you ready to have a really fun time with me?! Please cheer for me a lot.”
Since debuting with VERIVERY in 2019, Kangmin has steadily expanded his individual presence. After finishing ninth on ‘BOYS II PLANET’ last year and renewing his contract with Jellyfish Entertainment, he is now set to embark on his long-awaited solo journey. He has also confirmed his appearance in the upcoming short form drama ‘Jump Boy LIVE’, scheduled for release on 27 February, signaling continued activities across both music and acting.
Kangmin successfully wrapped up his solo fan meeting in Seoul this January, followed by Hong Kong and Osaka in February, as well as Yokohama on February 14. He will continue the fan meeting tour with an upcoming stop in Taipei on February 27, where he looks forward to meeting more global fans.
With momentum continuing to build amid his ongoing solo fan meeting tour, anticipation is rising for what Kangmin will unveil through his solo debut on March 23.
