‘KPop Demon Hunters’ bags Oscar Nominations!
On January 22 KST, the 98th Academy Awards announced its highly awaited nominees across various categories. Securing big, the mega-hit Netflix animated film ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ earned nominations in two categories, highlighting the film’s creative success and marking a major milestone.
The film has been nominated in the Best Animated Feature category, while its Billboard-charting song ‘Golden’, by the fictional girl group HUNTR/X, with EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami as the trio’s singing voices has received a nomination for Best Original Song, making it the first K-pop song in history to be nominated at the Academy Awards.

Adding to its growing list of achievements, the film has also received five Grammy nominations, with the awards ceremony set to take place on February 1 at downtown L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena. The film has already won two Golden Globe Awards, including Best Animated Motion Picture and Best Original Song for ‘Golden’, along with numerous other awards, further cementing its place in history.
