The Plot
When the Living Meet the Dead
No Mu-jin (played by Jung Kyung-ho) isn’t your average attorney. After a near-death accident gives him the ability to see spirits, he shifts his career to serve a very unusual clientele—ghosts with unfinished business. From wrongful deaths to unfulfilled wishes, Mu-jin and his team take on cases that no other law firm can handle.
He’s joined by his sister-in-law Hui-joo (played by Seol In-ah), a fierce and ambitious rookie lawyer who’s initially skeptical of Mu-jin’s methods, until she realizes the otherworldly advantage they bring. Rounding out the trio is Gyeon-U (Cha Hak-yeon), a sharp former detective turned ghostly investigator who helps gather evidence from both sides of the veil.
Together, they fight for justice both in and out of the courtroom, often with hilarious, action-packed, and deeply moving results.
The Characters
No Mu-jin (played by Jung Kyung-ho)
A brilliant but jaded lawyer who learns to channel his ghost-seeing ability into a force for good. Jung Kyung-ho brings his signature depth and dry humour to the role, portraying a man caught between the world of the living and the demands of the dead—yet still managing to win cases in both.
Hui-joo (played by Seol In-ah)
A determined and bright attorney who isn’t afraid to question the system or her boss’s unconventional tactics. Seol In-ah lights up the screen as Hui-joo, whose growth from a skeptical newcomer to a true believer forms one of the emotional cores of the series.
Gyeon-u (played by Cha Hak-yeon)
A sharp-witted former detective turned ghostly ally. Cha Hak-yeon brings charm and physicality to the role, whether he’s chasing down leads in the human world or gathering intel from the spirit realm.
