Chanyeol has officially made his much awaited solo comeback!
On August 25 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), EXO’s Chanyeol released his second mini album, ‘Upside Down’, along with the music video for its title track.
The title track, ‘Upside Down’, is an electronic rock song that fuses distorted guitar riffs, classic rock–style drums, and dynamic synths, with lyrics expressing a strong determination to persevere despite hardships. The MV, built around an electric shock concept, showcases Chanyeol portraying two contrasting personas interwoven with surreal animated sequences, leaving fans captivated.
The album captures various emotions from life’s brighter moments to its darker ones, showcasing a more mature side of him. It features six tracks in total including the title track ‘Upside Down’, ‘Back & Forth’, ‘Ocean Drive’, ‘High & Dry’, ‘Happy Accident’ featuring SOLE, and ‘123 Dance’ blending pop, rock, hip-hop, and R&B while highlighting Chanyeol’s unique musical color.
To celebrate the release, Chanyeol hosted a special countdown live broadcast via EXO’s official YouTube and TikTok channels. He will also meet fans through the free offline event CHANYEOL ‘Upside Down’ THE STAGE at Musinsa Garage on August 27–28, followed by his solo concert, CHANYEOL ‘Upside Down: Sound Stage’, at Yes24 Live Hall on August 31.
