On May 13, Mnet officially announced the premiere of its much-anticipated global boy group survival show, ‘BOYS II PLANET’.
The announcement came alongside a new teaser video, giving fans a first glimpse into the ambitious project, which will unfold across two languages and countries simultaneously. This marks K-pop’s first-ever global twin project, with two groups debuting at the same time.
‘BOYS II PLANET’ will feature two connected survival programs: ‘BOYS II PLANET K’ and ‘BOYS II PLANET C’. Each will be produced and broadcast in a different language, tailored to regional audiences while sharing the same storyline and competition format.
The teaser video reveals a cosmic concept, with two planets—Planet K and Planet C—moving toward a powerful sun, symbolizing their shared journey to stardom. Through this innovative format, Mnet aims to bring fans around the world together through a shared K-pop experience.
The two shows will run side by side, with ‘BOYS II PLANET K’ premiering on July 17 and ‘BOYS II PLANET C’ on July 18. Each will form its own group, and both will debut simultaneously.
