MBC has released the highly anticipated first teaser for its upcoming revenge melodrama ‘Woman Who Swallowed the Sun’, offering a haunting glimpse into a woman’s relentless pursuit of justice against a powerful corporate family.
The teaser opens in a chillingly dim setting, with Baek Seol Hee (played by Jang Shin Young) standing alone in a flowing white dress. Her voice-over sets the tone for the story’s tragic roots: “Since that day, my life has come to a halt. However, the world continued on as if nothing had happened.” The visual then shifts to her transformation—clad in a striking crimson gown, her eyes burning with fury and sorrow—as she declares war against the forces that destroyed her life.
Driven by the death of her daughter, Seol Hee’s journey is one of sorrow, anger, and an unyielding thirst for retribution. The teaser powerfully conveys her inner turmoil and determination, with a climax that leaves a lasting impression: blood drips from her hand as she stares ahead, eyes filled with tears, and utters the chilling line, “Now it’s your turn.”
