MEOVV delivers fresh charm in their new EP!
On May 12 at 6:00 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), MEOVV finally released their highly anticipated first EP album ‘MY EYES OPEN VVIDE’. The EP focuses on showcasing a diverse range of colorful charms and identities, capturing the message the group aims to convey through a dynamic mix of sounds.
‘MY EYES OPEN VVIDE’ consists of six tracks, with the title track ‘DROP TOP’. The song begins with a calm mood, gradually transforming into an energetic pop anthem with rock influences. This dynamic shift highlights a fresh side of the members’ vocals and rap skills. The accompanying music video perfectly complements the track, showcasing the members’ stunning visuals and embracing their natural, free-spirited, and authentic selves. This track is the first track members recorded as a team, making it even more special as it’s the one that has been with them the longest.
The album’s B-side track includes ‘LIT RIGHT NOW,’ a song that combines rhythmic R&B sounds to subtly convey the emotional depth through the group’s unique deep vocals. It tells a story of self-expression that remains unfazed by external standards or judgments. The album also features the pre-release single, along with all the tracks the group has released since their debut, including ‘HANDS UP’, ‘BODY’, ‘MEOW’, and ‘TOXIC’.
Members Gawon and Narin showcased their songwriting skills by contributing to ‘TOXIC’ and ‘LIT RIGHT NOW’. Gawon also made a contribution to ‘DROP TOP’, adding a meaningful touch and further highlighting their talent on the album.
Earlier, during the media showcase, the members shared that this album will fully showcase MEOVV’s identity and their growth as musicians. They also encouraged fans to look forward to everything they have prepared for the album.
