Wavve has dropped the gripping first trailer for its highly anticipated high school action drama, ‘ONE: High School Heroes’.
The teaser offers a powerful glimpse into Kim Ui Gyeom’s (played by Lee Jung Ha) descent into a life shaped by violence and defiance. Pushed to his limit by relentless bullying, he eventually snaps, awakening a side of himself he never knew existed.
At his side is Kang Yoon Gi (played by Kim Do Wan), a cunning and ambitious student who quickly recognizes Ui Gyeom’s potential as a fighter. With calculated precision, Yoon Gi draws him into the dark underbelly of school justice, where masked vigilantes, known as the High School Heroes, take down bullies one by one.
One particularly chilling scene shows Ui Gyeom standing in a hallway littered with unconscious students and smeared with blood, delivering the ominous line: “The problem is…there are just too many bad guys in this world.” The brutal honesty in his voice only heightens the intrigue surrounding his emotional and moral transformation.
‘ONE: High School Heroes’ is based on the popular webtoon and follows Kim Ui Gyeom, a top student quietly enduring constant bullying and emotional trauma from an oppressive father. When he’s finally pushed past his breaking point, something inside him shatters, unleashing a violent side he never knew he had. His descent into brutality becomes more than survival; it marks the birth of a new identity.
Kang Yoon Gi, his calculating classmate, seeks to harness Ui Gyeom’s innate fighting skills for his own aims. Donning distinctive pink masks, the two challenge the school’s corrupt social hierarchy and form an unlikely yet formidable duo, channeling their pent-up rage into vigilante justice to protect the powerless.
The trailer also teases high-octane fight scenes with lethal punches, explosive choreography, and electrifying tension. Viewers get a glimpse of Geol Jae (played by Yuk Jun Seo), a mysterious figure whose icy demeanor and ruthless efficiency add another thrilling dimension to the story.
‘ONE: High School Heroes’ premieres this May exclusively on Wavve and promises a raw, emotionally charged blend of action, suspense, and youth rebellion, perfect for fans of darker school dramas.
