Kai returns with his 4th mini-album, ‘Wait On Me’!
On April 21 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), EXO’s Kai dropped his long-awaited 4th mini-album, ‘Wait On Me’, along with the MV for the title track of the same name, marking his first release since completing military service in February 2025.
The music video for ‘Wait On Me’ features sleek choreography and cinematic visuals. It contrasts soft sandy tones with dark aesthetics, highlighting a smooth, powerful performance. The track blends pop and Afrobeats with light beats, and Kai’s vocals transition from soft yearning to gentle allure, creating a captivating groove.
The album features seven tracks spanning Afrobeats, R&B, and pop genres. These include: ‘Wait On Me’, ‘Walls Don’t Talk’, ‘Pressure’, ‘Ridin’, ‘Off and Away’, ‘Adult Swim’, and ‘Flight to Paris’—each capturing Kai’s emotional and artistic range. It’s intimate and expansive, offering listeners a rich and versatile experience.
Kai also held a press conference to mark his comeback, sharing his excitement and nervousness about ‘Wait On Me’. He discussed the creative process and his favorite moment from the MV and encouraged fans to support both his solo release and EXO’s upcoming projects. EXO’s leader, Suho, also attended the event as MC, praising Kai’s artistry.
With ‘Wait On Me’, and Kai’s solo tour, ‘KAION’, kicking off in Seoul this May, 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for the idol.
