NEWBEAT Gears Up For Debut With Second Pre-Release Single ‘HICCUPS’

On March 12, NEWBEAT unveiled another pre-release track, ‘HICCUPS,’ from their upcoming debut album, ‘RAW AND RAD.’ With the release of a new single ‘HICCUPS,’ the group is building excitement for their highly anticipated debut.

‘HICCUPS’ brings a fresh interpretation to the term, using it as a metaphor for an unstoppable bodily signal that occurs just before a hidden superpower is unleashed. The song encapsulates the moment of breaking past limits and stepping into one’s full potential—a theme that resonates with the group’s journey as they prepare to make their mark on the industry.

This latest track follows the success of NEWBEAT’s first pre-release single, ‘JeLLo (Sleepers),’ which was unveiled on March 8. The song’s Korean title, ‘힘숨찐 (him-soom-jjin),’ refers to someone who appears unassuming but possesses hidden strength—an idea that perfectly introduces NEWBEAT’s artistic narrative. ‘HICCUPS’ takes this concept even further, hinting at the moment when their true talents will be revealed to the world.

As the countdown to their official debut continues, NEWBEAT is set to roll out more teasers and exclusive content to engage their growing fanbase. The group will also hold a global debut show, ‘Drop the NEWBEAT,’ on March 24 at 8 PM KST, airing on Mnet and M2’s YouTube channel, giving audiences around the world the chance to witness their explosive introduction to the K-pop scene.

With ‘HICCUPS’ and ‘JeLLo (Sleepers)’ setting the stage, NEWBEAT’s ‘RAW AND RAD’ is shaping up to be a debut album filled with energy, authenticity, and an exciting new sound. Fans won’t have to wait much longer to experience the full force of this promising new group.

NEWBEAT is a seven-member group under BEAT INTERACTIVE, consisting of Park Minseok, Hong Minsung, Jeon Yeoyeojeong, Choi Seohyun, Kim Taeyang, Jo Yunhu, and Kim Riwoo. In July and August of 2024, the group held a busking tour, ‘HIGH&LOW Donuts,’ where they collaborated and performed with multiple dance crews in the U.S. Previously known as HinLOVE, the members have participated in music videos and performances for A.C.E at KCON LA and other stages.

NEWBEAT’s debut album, ‘RAW AND RAD,’ will be released on March 24 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST).
