iKON’s Junhoe and Ji Seung Hyun have joined the cast of the upcoming drama, ‘Punishment’ (literal title).
On February 25, Wavve released its lineup of shows for the first quarter, which included ‘Punishment’, and confirmed that iKON’s Junhoe and Ji Seung Hyun have joined the cast. Previously, actress Lee Joo Young was announced as the lead.

‘Punishment’ follows an unknown actress who seeks revenge after tragically losing her parents to a voice phishing scam. She uses deepfake technology to infiltrate a criminal syndicate and expose their operations in a dangerous quest for justice.
The drama adds to its realism by showcasing real-life examples of voice phishing scams, like credit card loan fraud and messenger phishing, which have become serious social issues, aiming to raise awareness while delivering a thrilling and emotional narrative.
Lee Joo Young, who has delivered impressive performances in dramas like ‘Itaewon Class’ and ‘Deal,’ will be seen in the leading role. Following his strong performances in ‘Marry You,’ ‘Twinkling Watermelon,’ and ‘True to Love,’ iKON’s Junhoe is set to showcase his acting skills in ‘Punishment.’ Ji Seung Hyun, recognized for his compelling performances in ‘Good Partner’ and ‘The Escape of the Seven,’ rounds out the main cast.
‘Punishment’ is set to premiere in May.
