The ‘2024 MBC Entertainment Awards’ and ‘2024 MBC Drama Awards,’ originally set to air in December 2024, will now air in January 2025.
On January 2, MBC shared that the ‘2024 MBC Drama Awards’ will be broadcast on January 5 at 5:10 PM KST (1:40 PM IST). This will be a pre-recorded version of the ceremony. The award ceremony was held on December 30, 2024, and was originally planned to be broadcast live on the same day. However, the live broadcast was canceled due to the Jeju Air crash tragedy.
Furthermore, as per reports, the ‘2024 MBC Entertainment Awards,’ which was originally slated to air on December 29, 2024, has been rescheduled to coincide with the Lunar New Year. Though the date hasn’t been finalized, MBC is currently in discussions to hold the award ceremony towards the end of January to concur with the Lunar New Year holidays.
Similar to the ‘2024 MBC Drama Awards,’ the ‘2024 MBC Entertainment Awards’ will also be aired in a pre-recorded format. Further updates about the new schedules of the ‘2024 MBC Entertainment Awards’ can be expected in the coming days.
