On April 17, K-Pop group EVNNE dropped the remix version of their popular track, ‘UGLY’ in collaboration with Korean DJ and producer, Will Not Fear.
“So many people gave love to ‘UGLY’ that we were able to come back with a Remix. Please give it lots of love this time as well! Thank you!” – Keita, leader of EVNNE
‘UGLY (Will Not Fear Remix)’ is a UK garage-based hybrid dance track featuring Will Not Fear’s signature explosive bass. The new string sound in combination with EVNNE’s powerful vocals from the original track showcases the EVNNE members’ three-dimensional skills and expends the multilayer description of what it means to be a rascal.
Will Not Fear is a popular DJ and producer who is a part of the producing crews ‘FAD BLAVA’ and ‘Cmnd’. He is widely known for his collaborations with SM Entertainment’s boy group NCT 127 and NCT DREAM for their remixes.
EVNNE is a seven-member K-Pop group under Jellyfish Entertainment and the members include KEITA, PARK HANBIN, LEE JEONGHYEON, YOO SEUNGEON, JI YUNSEO, MUN JUNGHYUN, and PARK JIHOO. All seven boys are notable for their participation in Mnet’s popular survival show ‘BOYS PLANET’. The group name EVNNE stands for “Evening’s Newest Étoiles” and demonstrates the members’ wishes to shine higher and brighter than anybody else and to have all eyes on them. The group debuted on September 19, 2023 with the mini-album ‘TARGET: ME’.
‘UGLY’ was originally released in January 2024 as the title track of EVNNE’s second mini-album, ‘[Un: SEEN]’. The song quickly gained popularity and got the group their first MBC M’s ‘Show! Champion’ win. EVNNE also secured the first place on KBS2’s ‘Music Bank’ with ‘UGLY’. The song went on to chart #1 on Bugs Real-Time Chart. By March 23rd, ‘UGLY’ was listed on the Billboard LyricFind Global Chart at #7, and by March 30th, the group’s debut title track ‘Trouble’ was listed at #2 on the Billboard LyricFind U.S. Chart.
