Korea.net has announced the much awaited 2024 recruitment of Honorary reporters and K-Influencers starting from 25 March 2024 on their website and social media accounts.
Korea.net- an official government web portal of Korean Cultural and Information Service (KOCIS) is inviting applications to join the 2024 class of Korean Culture Content Creators. This is a leading community for the fans of Korean culture where The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea invites enthusiasts all around the world to share their love for Korean Culture online.
What is the program?
This program is being run by KOCIS under the affiliation of the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to bring together like-minded people to share their common love for K-Wave or Hallyu.
In 2011, KOCIS launched a blog ‘The Korea Blog’ to promote Korean culture and sustain its popularity all across the globe. They launched the recruitment program (then named ‘The Worldwide Korea Bloggers Program’) to invite bloggers and writers to contribute to the blog. The program was a huge hit with contributions which attracted thousands of visitors to the blog.
The program was then subsequently launched every year with more and more contributors joining in to introduce, support and promote Korean culture through stories, photos and videos.
In 2015, the program was renamed as Honorary Reporters, widening its scope and allowing applicants to choose from three areas of contribution- written, photographs, and/or video. The team has been growing since then with more and more contributors joining in from different nations every year.
