The K-Pop beats goes on as Korean artist AOORA and DJ FRIDAYYY returns to India with their K-Pop concerts. To mark the 50 years of diplomatic relations between India and Korea, Uttar Pradesh Tourism teamed up with the duo to present the ‘UP Tourism K-Pop Tour‘.
The tour kicked off on September 12 with a concert at Sharda University, Greater Noida, where fans were treated to an unforgettable night of music and entertainment. The excitement continues as the duo is set to perform at SRMU, Lucknow, on September 15, followed by shows at Allenhouse Group of Institutions, Kanpur, on September 16, and Sanskriti University, Agra, on September 27.

This isn’t the first time AOORA and DJ FRIDAYYY have captivated Indian audiences with their performances. They’ve previously performed at various cities across India, including Mumbai, Chandigarh, Jammu, Chennai, Imphal, Jalandhar, solidifying their place in the hearts of K-Pop enthusiasts nationwide.

AOORA began his music career as a solo artist under the stage name ‘gn.E‘ in 2009 with the song ‘Love Back’. In 2011, he became a member of the boy group ‘Double A’ and its subunit ‘Aoora&Hoik’, but eventually parted ways in 2016. He rekindled his solo career as ‘AOORA’ with the single ‘Body Party‘ in 2014. Since then, he has released many tracks such as ‘Moonlight Bloom‘, ‘Black Sugar‘, ‘Twerk‘, ‘Firework‘, and more. Recently, the singer collaborated on a new track titled ‘Take Me‘ (prod. FRIDAYYY) with Seiren 8, released on September 9, 2023. Beyond his musical journey, AOORA has gained popularity as a YouTuber known for his reaction videos to numerous Indian songs.
What sets AOORA apart is his appreciation for India and its rich musical heritage. He has delighted fans with mashups of popular Indian songs like ‘Kala Chashma‘, ‘Badtameez Dil‘ and even ventured into the K-Pop versions of iconic Bollywood classics such as ‘Jimmy Jimmy‘, ‘Auva Auva‘, and ‘Yeh Shaam Mastani‘ ft. Changha.
