Whether you are throwing a party or want to get into that ghoulish spirit while binging on candy, Halloween themed K-Pop songs are just the thing one needs to celebrate the spooky holiday.
Last time we compiled a list of 5 K-Pop MVs that are the right blend of creepy, eerie, and absolute bops. And here we are again, with 5 more MVs that you should add to your Halloween playlist.
RED VELVET – Really Bad Boy
We’re going to start with an MV that gives a lighter touch to this spooky holiday! With the fake werewolf and the misty graveyard, the MV gives off the vibe of an 80’s horror movie.
In the MV, the members of Red Velvet examine a graveyard on a full-moon night. They realize that someone is following them and soon find themselves in a haunted mansion. ‘Really Bad Boy‘ is the perfect fit for you if you love old school horror movies! If you find yourself stuck with a ghost on Halloween, play this song, as it is guaranteed to get even the scariest of ghosts dancing.
BOYFRIEND – BOUNCE
Boyfriend creates their version of ‘Alice in Wonderland‘ in the MV for their track ‘Bounce.’ They stay true to the theme by recreating moments from the novel, such as painting the white roses red. It is also great for inspiration for Halloween costumes as the members are dressed up perfectly as characters from Lewis Caroll‘s novel.
SUNMI – Full Moon
How can we have Halloween without paying tribute to everyone’s favourite, the vampire? Starting with a jump scare, the MV is almost like a mini-horror flick unfolding in front of the viewer’s eyes. In ‘Full Moon,’ Sunmi takes on the role of a vampire and perfectly portrays the concept of an alluring-yet-dangerous vampire claiming its victim.
CROSS GENE – Black or White
Warning: Graphic Content
This MV is a masterpiece as it lives up to the creepy and eerie nature of the season. The video starts with the members of Cross Gene running from their alter egos. The gruesome cinematography and the colour scheme of ‘Black and White‘ amplify the ominous nature. It shows the fight between the good and bad sides of a person. Even though both exist in us, balanced by each other, but sometimes one side wins.
SEO TAIJI – Christmalo.win (Cinema Ver.)
For the last song in this list, we have ‘Christmalo.win‘ by Seo Taiji. Even though the band version MV would also have been a good addition here, there’s just so much more to the cinema version that makes it the perfect fit for our Spooky MVs list. The song has ‘Nightmare Before Christmas‘ vibes as it combines both the holidays in the cinema version.
The 8-minute video adds a dystopian spin to the concept of Halloween and Christmas, thereby forcing the viewers to engage in a critical analysis of our reality.
These were some of the MVs that you can add to your Halloween playlist (and also play all year round, because these songs are masterpieces). Do watch and let us know your favourite MVs to binge watch on Halloween!
