On October 29, BTS marked a new record by winning Best Group Video Award (International) and Best Collaboration Video Award (International) at 2021 MTV Video Music Awards Japan.
The Best Group Video Award was awarded to their music video for ‘Butter’ which made history on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Best Collaboration Video Award was won by ‘My Universe,’ their latest single that was released in collaboration with the legendary band, Coldplay.
This is the first time that the group has won more than one award in MTV Video Music Awards Japan. Previously, BTS won the Best Group Video Award (International) in 2020 for ‘Dynamite’ and 2018 for ‘Fake Love.’ In 2019, the group won the Best Buzz Award.
