The countdown to X:IN’s comeback is on!
On May 15, X:IN unveiled a brand new MV teaser for ‘Attention seeker’, the title track of their upcoming 3rd mini-album, ‘Defend Myself’. The teaser showcases members E.sha, Nova, Nizz, Hannah, and Aria in an industrial area and a desert. It opens with the members sitting or standing near the hood of a car in an industrial setting. They show off the point choreography, heightening anticipation for the song’s release. The video then cuts to desert scenes, focusing on each member individually before returning to the industrial site, where the choreography takes center stage and a snippet of the song is revealed.
Previously, on May 13, the group released the first MV teaser for ‘Attention seeker’, set entirely in a desert. In that teaser, the members walk into the scene as thunder and lightning flash in the background, before the video shifts to individual member shots. As it comes to a close, all members are shown with chained hands as they try to break free.
‘Defend Myself’ features a total of four tracks, including the title track ‘Attention seeker’ and the B-side tracks ‘SABAHA’, ‘Bitter love’, and ‘Almost done’. Notably, all members participated in writing the lyrics for the album. Nova, Aria, and Hannah contributed to the title track as well as ‘Almost done’, while E.sha also contributed to the latter. Additionally, Nizz and Aria worked on the lyrics for ‘Bitter love’. The members’ active involvement in the album showcases their artistic vision, making the comeback more meaningful as they pour their personal stories and emotions into the music.
With ‘Defend Myself’, the group opens up like never before. The album unpacks the weight of living under the spotlight, revealing the inner turmoil behind the glamour. It’s a story of choosing self-preservation in the face of chaos, a bold step in their journey as both individuals and performers.
‘Defend Myself’ marks the group’s first release under their new agency, BeBy Entertainment, raising anticipation about the musical direction and changes the group will present. It also marks their first mini-album in over a year since the release of ‘The Real’ in February 2024.
‘Defend Myself’ is set to be released on May 17 at 6:00 PM KST (2:30 PM IST).
