On May 9 KST, STUDIO MAUMC released a teaser for the new OST track ‘When That Day Comes’ by TXT, part 9 of the original soundtrack for the popular tvN weekend drama ‘Resident Playbook’. Notably, K-pop hit-making production team GALACTIKA took part in the lyrics, composition, and arrangement, further elevating the song’s quality.

‘When That Day Comes’ is a bright and heartfelt track that captures the sincere hopes of youth longing to realize their love. With an upbeat melody and sincere lyrics, the song incorporates an acoustic guitar riff that symbolizes a racing heartbeat, amplified by TXT’s vibrant vocals, which intensify the emotional resonance.
The track was first introduced in the drama as the ringtone of the character Um Jae Il (played by Kang You Seok), a former member of the fictional idol group High Boys. With TXT’s refreshing vocals and the character’s storyline, fans are eagerly anticipating the official release.
TXT has already showcased their versatility through previous OSTs like ‘Melo Movie’ and ‘Brewing Love’. With this latest addition, they are expanding their musical range even further.
The release comes after the success of their single ‘Love Language,’ which topped iTunes charts in 13 countries and stayed at No. 1 on Japan’s Line Music chart for four consecutive days (May 3–6).
‘When That Day Comes’ is set to release on May 11 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST) through various music platforms.
