Tom Cruise is set to appear on Jin’s YouTube variety show, ‘Run Jin’.
On May 12, Korean media reported that Hollywood actor Tom Cruise will be making a guest appearance on BTS member Jin’s solo variety series ‘Run Jin’, available on BANGTAN TV, the group’s official YouTube channel.
Responding to the reports, a representative from HYBE stated, “Tom Cruise recently participated in filming for Jin’s web variety show ‘Run Jin.’ The episode will be revealed at a later date.” The production team of ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’ also confirmed, “Tom Cruise filmed for ‘Run Jin.’ The footage will be released soon via the channel.”
Cruise, who arrived in South Korea on May 7 to promote his latest action blockbuster, ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’, made time from his busy schedule to join Jin for the shoot. However, this isn’t his first appearance on a Korean variety program. In 2018, he guested on the popular show ‘Running Man’ alongside his co-stars from ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’.
‘Run Jin’ is a light-hearted web series where Jin takes on new, quirky challenges each week. Cruise’s special appearance has sparked major anticipation, especially after Jin’s recent action-themed segments. Viewers were quick to draw parallels between his “Jin Wick” episode and Cruise’s legendary stunts, adding even more buzz to the upcoming release.
The crossover is already being called a dream collaboration between K-pop and Hollywood.
Meanwhile, Jin is set to release his second album ‘ECHO’ on May 16 at 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST).
