The advent of Hallyu across the globe has given opportunities to many talents to showcase their skills and become a part of this culture. Facilitating this cause, THEBLACKLABEL, a global creative agency founded by Teddy Park, along with CP Group, one of the leading companies in Thailand, has excitedly announced the launch of THEBLACKSEA.
THEBLACKSEA, is a joint venture created by the duo with an aim to discover and nurture next-generation musical talents in Southeast Asia and beyond that would become the pillars of the industry. The Joint Venture’s very first initiative, THEBLACKLABEL’s Thailand audition will identify talented individuals in Thailand and Southeast Asia in general.
- The audition is open to male and female individuals of 13 years or above.
- The applicants can be of any nationality provided they have a permanent residency in Thailand.
- In order to apply, the applicants must send the audition video starting from April 18th, 2023 via the official email address: audition@theblacklabel.com.
- The finalists will be selected by Teddy Park and they will further receive professional training at THEBLACKLABEL in Seoul, South Korea with an opportunity to debut as a global artist through the label.
THEBLACKLABEL is currently home to successful artists including BIGBANG’S TAEYANG, JEON SOMI, Zion.T, LØREN. Teddy is also credited as the creative director for the world’s biggest groups likeBIGBANG, 2NE1, BLACKPINK, and more.
THEBLACKSEA has been created on the foundation of Teddy’s keen eye for talent and creativity. With CP Group’s massive reach and global distribution network, the Joint Venture aims to accelerate its activities to inspire a new generation of cultural evolution that will transform Thai and Asian culture for the world. With regard to the venture, Teddy Park, the Founder and Executive Producer of THEBLACKLABEL stated,

THEBLACKLABEL’s roster has seen active expansion with the release of LØREN’s first EP ‘Put Up a Fight’ on March 24. Following this, the rockstar also performed at the Coachella music festival in California. The label is also set to release TAEYANG’s long-awaited first EP in 6 years ‘Down to Earth’ on April 25. Not limiting itself to the K-Pop industry the label has also dipped its feet into the actor management business after its successful signing of the prominent A-list actor Park Bo-gum.
