Netflix’s latest series, ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call‘, became South Korea’s number-one show on the platform’s Top 10 series in the country within 24 hours of its release.
On January 25, ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call’ achieved the feat of reaching No. 1 on Netflix Korea, after its global premiere on January 24. This was further confirmed by Netflix’s official website, and the show’s instantaneous success has created excitement about its reception worldwide.
The medical drama follows Baek Kang Hyuk, a skilled trauma surgeon with experience working in warzones, as he revives a struggling trauma team at the Hankuk National University Hospital. Starring Ju Ji Hoon as Baek and Choo Young Woo as his elite fellow Yang Jae Won, the series showcases their journey to transform the hospital into a top-tier trauma center.
The drama is based on the web novel ‘The Trauma Center: Golden Hour‘ by Hansanleega and Hongbichira. With its interesting story, direction, and great performances, the eight-episode series is a must-watch.
