‘The Prophet: Omniscient Reader’ Drops First Official Trailer and Poster!
On February 15, LOTTE Entertainment released the first trailer and poster for their upcoming movie, ‘The Prophet: Omniscient Reader’ (also known as ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’ and ‘Omniscient Reader’). Based on the popular web novel ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’, the movie follows Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who finds himself trapped in the dystopian world of a fantasy novel he has been reading.

As the only person who knows what happens next in the novel, Kim Dok Ja takes it upon himself to save the world from a disastrous ending. The film also stars Lee Min Ho as Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist of the novel Kim Dok Ja is reading.
The trailer begins as the subway Kim Dok Ja is riding comes to an abrupt halt, just as he reads a line from the first chapter of the novel: “The subway stopped in the middle of Dongho Bridge.” Suddenly, it dawns on him that the novel’s story has become reality. After the bridge collapses, he meets the once-fictional Yoo Joong Hyuk, adding more drama to the unfolding story.
The trailer also revealed a star-studded cast, including Chae Soo Bin, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, and Shin Seung Ho, among others.

‘The Prophet: Omniscient Reader’ is set to hit the theatres in July 2025.
