Previously, ‘Hitman 2’ became the first Korean film of the year to surpass 2 million moviegoers. Among all films released in Korea this year, including foreign titles, ‘The Match’ ranks third to reach this milestone, following ‘Hitman 2’ and ‘Mickey 17’.
To celebrate, the cast—featuring Lee Byung Hun, Go Chang Suk, Hyun Bong Sik, and Moon Jeong Hee—along with director Kim Hyung Joo, posed for a cheerful photo with balloons spelling out “200”.
Expressing their heartfelt gratitude, the team thanked fans with a joyful message: “Thank you for helping ‘The Match’ reach 2 million viewers!”
‘The Match’ tells the gripping story of Go (baduk) legend Cho Hun Hyun, portrayed by Lee Byung Hun.
