Super Junior‘s Yesung and rapper Bumkey dropped their collaboration ‘Carpet’ for SM STATION on 10th January at 6pm KST. The digital single was released through various music sites and the music video was also released via SMTOWN’s official YouTube channel. SM STATION is a digital music project by record label SM Entertainment and this collaboration is the 4th song of the project’s 3rd season.
Track ‘Carpet’ is a song with a controlled chorus and minimal composition, using only two instruments, a piano and a double bass to express the lonely atmosphere of a house during the dry winter season. Just like a carpet on the floor, the lyrics of the song will convey the message of comfort in a metaphorical way, giving a sense of healing to the listeners.
The music video features Japan’s rising model Tachibana Eri, expressing the feelings of the song with her calm and emotional acting. Yesung and Bumkey’s strong vocals, along with the beautiful lyrics of the song give a warm and healing experience to the listeners.
