On 21st February, SM ENTERTAINMENT announced that they were establishing a joint venture with Trans Media, a comprehensive media company under CT Corp at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. CT Crop is a leading business group that leads media, finance, and retail sectors in Indonesia. Through this venture, they will focus on areas like entertainment, content production, comprehensive advertising, digital business, etc.
Indonesian singer Rossa was the first artist to be recruited by the joint venture. It was also revealed that Super Junior and Rossa are planning a collaboration which is scheduled for the second half of this year. Super Junior‘s Leeteuk and Rossa both attended the ceremony which took place to establish the joint venture and expressed their excitement and expectations for future activities.
Rossa debuted in 1996 and has won Best Singer Award at various award ceremonies. Super Junior has proven their status as the ‘Hallyu kings‘ by collaborating with artists like Leslie Grace and Reik. Both Rossa and Super Junior attended the opening ceremony and closing ceremony of the Asian Games, respectively and proved their popularity in Indonesia.
