Stray Kids have teamed up with world-renowned record producer and DJ, DJ Snake for a new track, ‘In The Dark’.
On November 7, the long-anticipated collaboration between the artists came to life with the rolling release of ‘In The Dark’. Performed by Stray Kids and DJ Snake, it is one of 17 tracks on DJ Snake’s new album ‘Nomad’. The genre-blending album features global collaborations with artists like Travis Scott, J Balvin, The Outlaw, and Don Toliver with each contributing to a sonic journey that spans EDM, hip-hop, Latin, and K-pop influences.
‘In The Dark’ blends DJ Snake’s electronic dance music style with Stray Kids’ emotive, ballad-like vocals, creating a genre-spanning fusion. This strikes a balance between the best of both artists. The track quickly became a fan favorite, drawing global audiences. With metaphorical lyrics that reflect a lover’s search and yearning for a love long lost, the song fits perfectly with the album’s title, ‘Nomad’.
Regarding this collaboration between the two artists, DJ Snake stated, “It is an honor to collaborate with Stray Kids, who are making a significant impact on the K-pop scene.”
The song ‘In The Dark’ marks the first official collaboration between the two artists following their initial interaction at January 2024’s ‘Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes’, a charity event hosted by Pièces Jaunes Foundation in Paris.
The album, ‘Nomad,’ blends various music styles and making for a kaleidoscopic listening experience. The album is also a nod and a tribute to DJ Snake’s multi-cultural experiences while growing up and touring across various continents, a bridge connecting different cultures with the shared soul of music.
Following the release, DJ Snake has multiple live shows lined up across the USA for the remainder of the year. In addition to that, he is also scheduled to perform in Puerto Rico on November 26, 2025 and at Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from December 11 to December 13, 2025.
Stray Kids are currently gearing up for their comeback with mixtape album ‘DO IT’, set to release on November 21, 2025 at 2PM (KST)/ 10:30 am (IST). The group is also on the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) performance stage lineup, scheduled to be held between November 28 to 29 in Hong Kong.
