STARSHIP Entertainment has officially launched its highly anticipated boy group survival program, ‘Debut’s Plan,’ with a theme song.
On March 12, STARSHIP Entertainment unveiled a performance video featuring the contestants of ‘Debut’s Plan’ to the theme song ‘ImPerfect.’ The video, released on the ‘NewKids on the STARSHIP’ YouTube channel, showcases the contestants’ dynamic and precise dance moves set to the sentimental track, highlighting their strong determination to debut in the competitive K-pop industry.
Previously, on March 11, ‘NewKids on the STARSHIP’ released EP.0 Debut’s Plan Begins PRE-RELEASE, offering a glimpse into the rigorous 77-hour challenge undertaken by 33 Starship trainees from September 2 to 5 last year as they competed to join this year’s boy group debut preparation team.
The first episode premieres on Friday, March 14, at 9:30 PM KST (6:00 PM IST) on YouTube. This episode will showcase the first competition round, where 21 out of 33 contestants will be chosen to form Newkids 21. Immediately after the episode, global voting opens at 10 PM KST (6:30 PM IST) and runs until April 3 at 10 AM KST (6:30 AM IST). The show will then follow the 21 contestants as they work towards their goal to debut.
MONSTA X’s Minhyuk hosts the show, while K.Will, WJSN’s Yeonjung, choreographer Choi Youngjoon, MONSTA X’s Shownu, and Simeez serve as mentors.
