On June 18, Netflix released a new clip introducing new additions to the cast for the much-awaited sequel.
Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong Geun will be joining the cast as new actors for the second season! Also returning to the show are the season one cast members Lee Jung-Jae, Lee Byung-Hun, Wi Ha-Jun, and Gong Yoo.
The clip also showed a little preview of season one in the opening film. The new cast was then seen approaching a podium. It has two lights: a red and a green one. They all click the green button.
Netflix streamed the first season of Director Hwang Dong-Hyuk’s Squid Game on 17 September 2021. The series received awards and nomination for numerous award shows as a result of its favourable critical reaction and widespread international popularity.
The show created history when it won the SAG Award for best non-English language television show. Additionally, Squid Game is the first non-English television show to be nominated for and win Primetime Emmy Awards. It was nominated for 14 awards, taking home six of them.
As the official cast for season two of the blockbuster Korean series Squid Game is officially revealed, fans are no doubt ecstatic about it.
Squid Game 2 is expected to premiere next year.
