‘High Five’, directed by Kang Hyung Chul, tells the story of five strangers who gain unique superpowers through organ transplants and the dark forces that pursue them. Young Choon emerges as the film’s powerful villain, with Shin Goo delivering a commanding portrayal of the aged and weary cult leader, while Park Jin Young brings to life the confident and revitalized youth version of the character.
Park Jin Young, who appears in the second half of the film, reportedly studied Shin Goo’s every nuance—including his speech patterns, gait, and even sitting posture—to seamlessly carry forward the character’s emotional arc. “I recorded all of Shin Goo’s lines and practiced them countless times,” Park Jin Young shared, reflecting on his dedication to the role.
