SF9’s Yoo Taeyang to enlist for his mandatory military service soon.
On February 6, FNC Entertainment released an official statement announcing that SF9’s Yoo Taeyang is scheduled to enlist for his mandatory military service starting March 3, 2026.
In a statement, the agency said:
Hello.
This is FNC Entertainment.
Yoo Taeyang, who recently applied for the military band, has received final acceptance notice from the Military Manpower Administration. He will enter the training center on March 3, where he will undergo basic military training before fulfilling his national defense duties as a member of the military band.
As the enlistment day will involve many soldiers enlisting together, the time and location of Yoo Taeyang’s enlistment will be kept private, and no separate events will be held.
We are always grateful for the unwavering love fans have shown Yoo Taeyang. Please continue to give him your support as he faithfully carries out his national defense duties and returns in good health.

Yoo Taeyang debuted with SF9 in 2016 and holds the position of main-dancer and sub-vocalist. Since his debut, he has grown to be an all rounder artist, with artistic ventures including singing, acting in dramas and musicals, dancing, songwriting and composing.
